Your Instructor
As long as I can remember, my body has "talked to me" with physical sensations. As a kid I had headaches and stomach aches when I was stressed, and as an adult my body developed more intense symptoms, including pain and illness, when it was trying to tell me to make changes in my life. When things got real bad, my body got tired of waiting for me to change things and started to dissociate to get away from the toxic environment I was putting it in. When I finally realized what was going on, I'd developed such a constant habit of dissociation that I needed more than just to make changes in my life. . . I also needed to learn and practice skills for coming back to my body and staying present for more of my life. I'm honored to get a chance to share those with you!
